Wag of the Week: The Yoga Club Perth

Girlies I am so happy to be showcasing this beautiful business this week, because I actually met the founder Nicole organically through her OTHER business (fun fact)- Coleys Lashes. Indeed, Nicole is an absolute brow (and lash) queen- so safe to say I already had full faith in this women even before I tried one of her yoga/ sound healing classes- which are beautiful!

Nicole is a registered yoga teacher from Dublin, Ireland who completed her teacher training in Bali. In this time, she also decided to do an additional sound healing course- so now she offers both together!

It would be rude for me not to attach some photos from the WAGSS shoot day, where Nicole ran one of her famous sessions...

Now let's get to know Nicole a bit more...

Why did you start your business?

I owned my ownĀ  yoga business in Ireland before moving to Perth. After finding it difficult to meet people and make friends, I started beach yoga to create a space where people could move their bodies, slow down and connect with others. I later added sound healing because of the incredible sense of calm and wellbeing it brings, making it the perfect complement to yoga šŸ«±šŸ¼ā€šŸ«²šŸ½

What are you most proud of?

Seeing genuine friendships form through yoga  🄹Knowing that people have met through my classes and are still pals makes me so happy

What motivates you?

Helping people feel calmer, more connected to themselves and stronger versions of themselves. Seeing someone leave a class feeling better physically, mentally and emotionally than when they arrived inspires me to keep doing what I do

What’s something people don’t see behind the scenes?

Many people don’t realise that I’m juggling two businesses 😬 my yoga and sound healing business, as well as my beauty business @coleyslashes

Between planning classes and events, creating content, organising venues, designing class flows and playlists, managing bookings, and running my beauty business, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. It definitely keeps me busy, but I love creating experiences that help people feel good, whether that’s on the yoga mat or in the beauty room🄰

Your business in 3 words?

stillness, connection, movement

Coffee (or not) order?

flat white skinny milk

Most chaotic business owner moment?

Hosting a beach sound healing event for 17 people while battling the Perth wind🫣

Between flying mats, setting up equipment, and keeping everything running smoothly, it was chaos 😬 but we made it work

The Perth wind is no joke!

Favourite way to unwind?

sound healing 😌

What’s always in your work bag?

sage 🤣

Biggest lesson from business ownership?

Don't compare yourself to others, focus on your own journey and trust your making a difference

Advice to women starting out?

Go for it, don't let wait for the right time and don't worry about what otherĀ  people will think

What makes your business different/ unique?

I combine yoga, sound healing + community to create a welcoming space where people can move, relax, connect and feel supported

Favourite cocktail?

margarita šŸø

One meal for the rest of your life?

taco bowl

You can find both of Nicole's businesses on instagram: @theyogaclubperth and @coleyslashes. Even a simple follow helps show these businesses support, so let's continue to champion the local businesses that make WA so special!
