Wag of the Week- ELW Travel

Jun 24
3 min read

This week we are looking at somebody who is extremely well connected- whether you are wanting to book a holiday outside of Australia, or stay the night at a Perth hotel (only the best of course) - Emma is here to help!

I try not to look at this picture for too long, as I get insanely jealous! So, on that note, let's dive straight into the questions, so you can all get to know her better...

When did you start your business?

29th Feb 2020 – 2 weeks before the world closed down.

What are you most proud of?

Building and maintaining a successful travel business during a global lockdown.

What motivates you?

Retirement haha – No - Travel has the power to change people, connect families, and create memories that last a lifetime and that's what drives me every day. I genuinely care about my clients and take pride in crafting journeys that perfectly suit their dreams, whether it's a luxury escape, a honeymoon, a family adventure or a once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list trip. Watching clients return year after year, and being part of their life's milestones through travel, is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping couples plan their honeymoons, then later assisting them with family holidays and multi-generational adventures.

What’s something people don’t see behind the scenes?

Me with 37 browser tabs open, three supplier portals timing out simultaneously, a coffee that's gone cold for the third time, and somehow still smiling while finding the perfect suite upgrade, oh, and simultaneously arguing with airline systems at 9pm because my client is absolutely getting that better seat.

Your business in 3 words

Luxury Without Limits

Coffee (or not) order?

Flat white but prefer a strong yorkshire tea!

Most chaotic business owner moment?

Erm most recent- The Middle East- shutdowns, flight cancellations, stranded clients & endless calls, messages etc etc all before my morning cuppa had kicked in...

Also, always explaining to my family that although I'm technically on holiday, I still have to check on clients because travel never sleeps. Travel agents don't really switch off- we just answer emails from prettier locations.

Favourite way to unwind?

A huge bath in a lovely hotel and room service delivering a club sandwich and a large SSB.

What’s always in your work bag?

My bag is a disgrace but I always have a tape measure totally not relevant to my career or life- don't ask.

Biggest lesson from business ownership?

Business ownership has taught me that success isn't built overnight- it's built through consistency, resilience, and showing up even on the hard days. The behind-the-scenes work isn't always glamorous, but seeing happy clients return year after year makes every challenge worthwhile.

Advice to women starting out?

Show up, do your best and be humble. Help and support others and they will return that back at you.

What makes your business different/ unique?

Me! I don't try to be any other agent or replicate other people's work. Every itinerary I work on is tailor-made to my clients.

Favourite WA spot?

Being new to WA I still have lots to explore but so far loving Freo markets and bars, Ritz Carlton Lounge and any of the dog beaches watching my doggies play happily.

Current obsession?

Trying to keep warm- we just got here from Queensland so I am really struggling!

Anyone else now itching to book a trip?? I know I am! Lucky for us Wagss, Emma will throw in a complimentary planning session and a few VIP arrival goodies when quoting 'WAGSS' upon making any bookings. Go and live your dreams ladies... and let Emma help you do it!
